The Hotel Goya is situated in Roses, a natural harbour of the Mediterranean, a tourist and fishing town located in the north-east of Catalonia. Its history dates back to the 4th century BC, when the Greeks founded the colony of Rhode. Today we can still visit the remains of this colony in the Citadel. Apart from the Citadel, Roses has other architectural gems from different periods, such as a series of dolmens and places of great beauty such as the belvedere of the Puig Rom hill. Roses has attractive beaches and coves with crystal-clear waters, where apart from sunbathing you can do various water sports. You can also follow various routes and itineraries on foot or by bike to enjoy the splendid local landscapes. Very close to the town you can make other excursions: the Aiguamolls de lEmpordà Natural Park, the Dalí Museum, the ruins of Empúries, the Romanesque monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, the medieval complex of Castelló dEmpúries, the Cap de Creus headland, and the Castle of Peralada.
