Dear Guest, to ensure that you really do feel at home at our Hotel, we would like to give you a little more background information about the Westend. The Hotel was, in fact, built as a privat Villa in 1890 by the then-famous local architect Pietro Delugan to serve as his very own personal visiting - card - the perfect example of his art and skill and certainly with one of the most beautiful facades in all Merano at that time. The building is now justly recognised as a true jewel of the decoratet Liberty stile and has been under the protection of the Belle Arti, a national society for valuable historic buildings, since the year 1984. The Merano Lido with its cooling, tempting pools and exellent outdoor facilities is just 100 meters round the corner. Our guests especially appreciate the varied menus listing healthy tasty food cooked from only the very best, fresch ingredients. Rich breakfast buffet. Extra attraction: cocktails in the garden, candle-light dinner, salad and antipasto buffet, local specialities and diet menus. The hotel has a delightful garden along the river and is in quiet yet central position, away from the hustle and bustle of the town - the ideal place for a truly relaxing holiday.
