La Principessa, located at the base of the hills surrounding Lucca, claims the most distant origins among all the villas of Lucca: it was, in fact, the home and court of Castruccio Castracani (1281-1328) Lord and Duke of Lucca. Guests find the discrete tranquillity of a classical country residence and quality services. The Hotel is entirely air conditioned and offers every comfort in its lounge with fireplace, bar, restaurant, swimming pool set in a wonderful garden. 33 elegant rooms and 8 luxurious JSuites, recently renovated, all air-conditioned and equipped with direct dialing telephone, modem plug, SAT TV, hairdryer. The restaurant "à la carte" offers the best of Italian and Tuscan cuisine and a wide choice of wines. In spring and summer a snack by the pool and an openair dinner are a delicious experience. A wide swimming pool set in in a wonderful garden is open from mid May to mid September. It is well equipped with beach umbrellas, deck chairs and tables. Free bath towels and lifeguard service.
