Description:
Harcourt House, Circa 1840, was built after Queen Victoria came to the throne. The area around where she lived as Queen, Buckingham Palace, was developed from marshland to provide a residential area, known as Belgravia, so that the elite were able to live near to their the sovereign. Harcourt House has been a guest house since the late 1880s, where records show it was a gentlemans lodgings. The name Harcourt was derived a from a prominent member of parliament, at that time. Since then, the area has become synonymous with the rich and famous. Harcourt House is a small family run Bed & Breakfast Hotel occupying an early Victorian building in Belgravia. We have triples (double & single beds), doubles, singles and twin rooms. All rooms incorporate the following facilities, shower and toilet, colour TVs, Tea/Coffee facilities, hairdryers and all have central heating. The décor throughout the Hotel follows a Victorian theme not only with its colours, but all the open fireplaces and brass bedsteads. Due to alterations with the road network locally HARCOURT HOUSE will now lose neally all the traffic that used to flow down Ebury Street, unlike some of my neighbours that may lose half. Thus making HARCOURT HOUSE the quietest Hotel in Ebury Street. A Bed and Breakfast Hotel situated in Belgravia, central London, a 1st class residential area which is close to many of the main tourist attractions.
