Living in contact with country people and country products it gave us experience enough to select what we considere the real nature and the real taste of Chianti: in our cellar there are 32,000 Chianti Classico bottles of wine since 1911. Together the rooms, the apartments and the restaurant, at your disposal there are also three wine tasting rooms, a bar and a food genuinities shop where you can find extra virgin olive-oil from chianti hills, home-made jams, Pickled mushrooms,Artichokes and Fennels in Oil: a special recipe o Casprini Restaurant. You can also find Chianti honey made by Mrs Franzoni whichi really an "artist". Her production was rewarded as the best in Europe in 1994.What we select is only quality. The Hotel in "Passo dei Pecorai" - (Pass of the shepperds) - was a refreshment point during the Etruscan era. The house was destroyed and rebuilt twice before obtaining its present appearence.The actual building was built in the 1500's and restored respecting the original architecture of the house. You can choose a single or a double room, an apartment from 2 up to 5 people (with bed-room, kitchen, bath and dining room) just the best choice for you or your family. We are located "in the middle of everything", and it's easy to arrive to the most intersant cityes for art and colture in not more than 1 hr. This also is the best location on the north side of Chianti for biking and walking excurtions or see the country villages and country Art (churches, villages, casltes...). The Restaurant: consist of two dining-rooms for a total of 150 seats: one in old tuscan-style, and the other shelved with over 500 Chianti wines. In conjunction with the Chianti atmosphere, the kitchen serves the fineist Tuscan cuisine in the region, from recipies that are over 400 years old. Taste our articchoickes, mushrroms and fennels pickled in oil, or the original Crepes alla Fiorentina or Ravioli with truffles with mushoom cream, pappardelle al cinghiale, the fiorentina steak, fresh hamm with wood tuscan flavours backen in avon, wildboar in mushrooms sauce, all the grilled tuscan meat like lamb, pork, pigeon and chicken. We prepare all desserts too, like the famous Anna's tiramisł and the cookies with almonds and with choccolate. In the summer we serve dinner in the garden when it's covered with beautiful grape vines. Close by, there's a secluded green park.
