The monastery was abandoned by the Basilios monks in the year 1830 and 30 years later was converted into a college. Here you can almost smell the real student atmosphere of Granada. It offers splendid cloisters which surround the garden and a well,designed by abad Josef de la Cerdá in 1681. The hotel is a new building constructed as an annex to the Monastery.
