Description:
CHOUPANA HILLS is a luxurious Resort & Spa nestled on the verdant hillside of Funchal. The development of this project has been inspired by the French architect Michel de Camaret co-jointly with architect-decorator Didier Lefort who designed and decorated the famous Meridien Bora Bora and The Datai in Malaysia. The main features of the building are wood and stone, comprised of 31 bungalow-style units, built on pillars. Same African and Asian influences can be noticed in the unique decoration style of this boutique hotel as well as in other antiques pieces sourced from various Portuguese discoveries. There are 60 double rooms and 4 suites, surrounded by sumptuous gardens and two larger buildings in which other amenities are situated. All rooms have verandas, unusually large areas and a view to Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. Both double rooms and suites have separate WC and bathrooms, refrigerator mini-bar, personal safe, television and radio. The suites will also be equipped with an outside Jacuzzi and access to the Internet. The indoor leisure areas, reception, library, seminar room with a capacity of approximately 40 people, and the spa, are found in one of the main buildings. The bar, restaurant and kitchen are situated in another separate building. There are two heated swimming pools, one outdoor lagoon swimming pool, and another indoors in the spa area.
