The Masoero family has a long history in the hotelier trade, which dates back to when the family ran the Hotel Italia in San Damiano d'Asti. In 1939, Claudio Masoero married Alda Lano and almost 15 years later, the couple, together with Alda€s mother, Anna Gallino, moved to Alassio where they built the Hotel Rosa from nothing. From that time onwards the family has been committed to the constant improvement of the hotel€s already welcoming atmosphere, and to bringing the hotel into line with the very latest tourist requirements. In 1993 the hotel was equipped with covered garages, a conference hall, and access for disabled persons. "Our passion for this job,€ Alda tells us, €has meant that we have been able to maintain the same warm and cordial welcome for our guests, even after all these years.€ Alda€s son Lorenzo has also worked alongside his mother in the hotel. Today, her daughter-in-law Graziella and granddaughters Rosanna and Claudia - both with catering diplomas - all work in the hotel. The kitchens are run by the excellent chefs Raniero Cilloco and Paolo Piccione, who are both specialists in the art of mixing the flavours of Piedmontese and Ligurian cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide choice of Mediterranean, traditional Ligurian, and creative cuisine.
